Motor Third Party Liability

The Motor Third Party Liability Insurance (MTPL) is a mandatory insurance for the Republic of Bulgaria. When signing for MTPL, DallBogg provides insurance coverage for damages caused with your vehicle to other road participants or other people’s property.

Who is this insurance aimed for?

Insured people are the owner of the car who is specified in the insurance policy, as well as any other person who uses the car legally.
With MTPL insurance by DallBogg you save costs for damages caused by you to third parties. Third parties are all people except the person responsible for the damage caused.
Compensation is determined according to the Bulgarian legislation or the legislation of the country on the territory of which the damage occurred.

What are the liability limits?

DallBogg offers the mandatory liability limits approved by Law.
For the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria:

For non-property and property damages as a result of bodily injury or death – BGN 10,420,000 for each event, regardless of the number of injured people;
For property damage – BGN 2,100,000 for each event, regardless of the number of injured people.

For the territories of the other countries – members of the European Union or of the countries belonging to the European Economic Area, the limits are determined according to the local legislation.

Where is the MTPL insurance valid?

The insurance is valid on territories of the other countries – members of the European Union and the countries belonging to the European Economic Area. The Green Card certificate, issued free of charge to each insurance policy, also covers the liability of the driver of the vehicle for all other countries that are members of the international Green Card agreement.

Insurance Premium

The price of the insurance is calculated according to the tariff of DallBogg in force at the moment of concluding the insurance, as follows:

For passenger cars, the age of the owner and the engine capacity of the car are taken into account;
For trucks – the weight of the car is taken into account;
For buses – the number of seats for passengers is taken into account.
