Freight during transport – Cargo insurance covers all types of cargo and their related material interests during transport, regardless of the type of their transport /by land, sea, air, rail or combined/ and regardless of the type of transport means, against loss and/or damage and/or costs, as a direct consequence of the occurrence of risks covered by the policy.

What risks does the insurance cover?
  • Institute Cargo Clauses “A” – full coverage, regulated in the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance;
  • Institute Cargo Clauses “B” – limited coverage, regulated in the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance;
  • Institute Cargo Clauses “C” – minimum coverage regulated in the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance.

 

For an additional insurance premium paid, the insurer can provide additional insurance coverage against:

  • Institute War Cargo Clauses;
  • Strikes, riots and civil unrest (Institute Strikes Cargo Clauses).

 

What does the insurance premium depend on?

The tariff number is determined by the type and packaging of the transported freight, the covered risks, the destination and the type of transport.
