07 Jun State Fund “Agriculture” increased their 2016 budget for insurance of agricultural production by BGN 1 million
With the larger budget more farmers will be able to receive a subsidy of up to 65% of the insurance premium
State Fund “Agriculture” (SFA) increased their 2016 budget for insurance of agricultural production by BGN 1 million, informed the paying agency. The total amount budgeted for co-financing of farmers this year was increased up to BGN 2.5 million. With the larger budget under the Scheme for State Aid more farmers will be able to receive a subsidy of up to 65% of the cost of their insurance premium.
All small and medium farmers who grow fruit, vegetables, oil-bearing crops and tobacco are encouraged to voluntarily get a DallBogg insurance for covering their agricultural production against adverse climatic events and apply with the issued policies to the SFA. The submission of applications for participation in the Scheme can be done until the funds have been exhausted, but not later than the 31th August 2016. The farmers have to submit their policies to the relevant department of the regional directorates of the SFA not later than the 30th September. The deadline for contracting and disbursement of the funds is the 16th December 2016.
